Writer Fiona Ferrer and chefs Óscar Molina (La Gaia) and Álvaro Sanz (Es Tragón) join the cast of personalities representing our product club in its mission to promote Ibiza as the best luxury destination in the world. The president of Ibiza Luxury Destination, Nuria Moreno, highlighted their "commitment to the island and the work they do". 

Fiona Ferrer, who in addition to being a novelist is also a successful entrepreneur in the fashion industry, believes that "visiting the island is a must for the senses". Proof of this is precisely the fact that both Óscar Molina and Álvaro Sanz have turned Ibiza into a true benchmark on the international gastronomic scene thanks to the excellence of the local Ibizan produce and the exquisiteness and avant-garde of their creations.

Óscar Molina: revolutionising the kitchen for 14 years

The current executive chef of La Gaia, considered one of the best restaurants in Ibiza, arrived on the island more than a decade ago to join the ambitious project of the Ibiza Gran Hotel. On his own merits, he has now become one of the most renowned chefs in Ibiza.

This year he received the prestigious Michelin Star, but Óscar Molina already had two "Soles" from the Repsol Guide. Irrefutable proof of the incredible trajectory of the Barcelona-born chef, which he shares with the whole island, a place where he feels at home.

In a recent interview with FaceFoodMag, Molina acknowledged that his aim is "to conquer new heights every day, to never back down, to give a little bit more every day". Work, perseverance and passion for gastronomy: ingredients for the recipe for success.

Álvaro Sanz: Ibiza's first Michelin Star

It was not an easy road, but in 2020 Ibiza made its debut in the prestigious Michelin Guide with the star awarded to the restaurant Es Tragón, run by chef Álvaro Sanz. The Madrid-born chef, whose teacher is the prestigious chef Salvador Gallego, has worked in a multitude of top restaurants all over the world.

To mention just a few, Sanz has worked in the kitchens of El celler de Can Fabes in Barcelona (Santi Santamaría, *** Michelin), L'Atelier in New York (Joël Robuchon, * Michelin) or Tezka in Mexico (Fernando P. Arellano, ** Michelin).

It is in Ibiza, however, where Álvaro Sanz finds the perfect place to present his avant-garde gastronomy to the world. In a recent interview with Periódico de Ibiza, the chef made it clear that his intention is to "represent the true cuisine of the Mediterranean". An ideal that we share one hundred percent at Ibiza Luxury Destination.

Fiona Ferrer: a woman without limits

Fiona Ferrer Leoni is one of those women who is not stopped by anything or anyone. Writer, journalist, businesswoman, designer, stylist, ... Since she graduated in International Relations and Communication from the University of Miami in 2000, she has not been able to resist any challenge.

To mention just a few of her milestones, she has been director of communication at Artemundi and a member of the MOCA Shakers club (Museum of Contemporary Art), she has won the Medal of the city of Cartagena de Indias and is currently participating as a speaker in the Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship in Communication and Fashion at the University of Seville.

Deeply rooted to the island of Ibiza (where she has been spending the summer "with barely three months"), she attended the primary schools of Jesús and Puig d'en Valls and experienced first-hand the birth of Adlib fashion with her mother, the top model and renowned businesswoman Mietta Leoni.

For Fiona Ferrer Ibiza is her "special place in the world", a place where creativity and magic come together, making "every trip a world" because, as she herself considers, "Ibiza has many Ibizas on the same island".
