How I found Ibiza...
Many years ago, when I was very young, I came to spend a few days in Ibiza. I was eighteen years old. Many years later, I went back and I haven’t stopped since, in fact I visit several times every year. We have a house in Punta Arabí which we bought without even seeing it first - a little unconventional! My partner, José Antonio Ruiz Jiménez, is an architect and is currently working on a project for the Cultural Centre of San José de Sa Talaia, another reason to love Ibiza.
Some of its myriad facets...
What I like most are the landscapes, the pine trees, the colour of the sea… they are truly unbeatable. That beautiful greeny-blue turquoise colour… I love the food and the people.
A Luxury on the island...
There are endless luxuries: the beaches, the pine forests, the places to eat by the sea, the crystal clear water… oh, and the bread with ali-oli! (garlic mayonnaise).
My favourite moment...
Maybe have an aperitif on one of the beaches within walking distance from my house, Cala Nova or Cala Martina, or have supper in Santa Gertrudis where there is an excellent library which I love to visit, called “El Cuaderno Azul” which has some unusual books.
A memory when I’m far away...
More than anything, I sleep really well at night, there’s not a sound. You wake-up feeling new, regenerated… and in good spirits.
The magic of Ibiza...
The magic is in the landscapes and most of all, in the inhabitants, who live and let live.
What I tell my friends...
One shouldn’t say too much about the natural beauty of the Island though, otherwise everyone will want to go there, both those who already know it and those who don’t. With its climate, inhabitants, visitors, nightlife, sky and cuisine…if you visit once, you\'re sure to come back.
